Welcome to Operation Extinction's official website. We are a friendly raiding guild with good guild progression and quality members who know how to play their class and work well as a team.

Latest kill - HARD MODE - Flame Leviathan (Ulduar)

OpEx Progression Status

WEEKDAY RAID TIMES 7:30PM-11:30PM
WEEKEND RAID TIMES 4PM-whenever
Raiders are expected to be willing to put in 4 hours on progression runs. After that, it's voluntary to stay and continue. The timer starts ticking at scheduled raid time.

RAIDER RULES & REQUIREMENTS
(Raider rank as compared to casual rank)

1. On time, flasked, hit/def capped etc.
2. Know your whole class, not just a rotation. Rotations change every time Blizz sneezes. Knowing how to think on your feet and adjust to whatever happens "right now" will always work. Everybody should have a dual spec, especially hybrid classes. You're 80 - you should know how to play your offspec by now. You don't have to be awesome at it, but you should know how to play it enough to play it in a pinch.
3. It's a team effort. Contribute to overall guild success and we all win in the end.
4. Be mature. No 12 year old tantrum crap in raids.
5. When you commit to something, follow through.
6. Nobody is 100% perfect. Just do your best.
7. Work on your gear. We'll help do it with you, but we won't do it for you.
8. Invites go to those who make the effort to do what the guild/class leaders have asked of them, such as working on a certain stat etc.
9. Raid time is kill stuff time. We can have fun on vent, but we do it while we're clearing trash. No 6 hour raids with 4 hours of downtime. Bio, smoke, coffee breaks will be given, but for gods sake - this isn't second grade. Everybody go afk at once and not one at a time.
10. Raid time is raid time. If you commit to a 7:30PM raid, don't expect an invite at 8:00. You will have been substituted. (We understand that life, parents, kids, ex-wife, work etc. happens. When it does, just let somebody know when you have the chance so nobody starts thinking you're unreliable.)
11. Being on standby counts as effort. If 11 people show up for a 10 man, obviously someone sits out but it still counts as being there on time etc.
12. Don't be a gear whore. We have never once had a guild fight over a drop, and don't intend to start now. It's a quick in-vent decision, and /roll if there's 2 that need it. The loot will drop again. That's why it's called "on farm". General rule of thumb on loot (exceptions made on common sense basis) is this: 1 main spec per boss, 1 tier per raid.
13. Occasionally, somebody that everybody likes is just plain gonna suck at their chosen class/spec. Don't panic. We have excellent players of every class who can teach you things you never knew your class was capable of in a nice friendly way.
14. You do not "deserve" gear. I do not "deserve" gear. The main tank does not "deserve" gear. We use common sense and it goes to whoever needs it.
15. We don't use DKP. See above.
16. If you can't be bothered to even read this far into the big yellow box, you're not committed enough to be taken seriously as a raider. Seriously, it takes what, like a minute to read this? That's not too much to ask.
17. As for alts... Non-80 alts are allowed but not required. Most of us have several that we play for fun. We do ask that 80 alts be in <OpEx>.
18. Casuals: Yes, casual players ARE allowed into OpEx. We are and always have been all for allowing people to enjoy the game and play with their friends and family. After all, it -IS- a game.
19. Don't show up for raids drunk/stoned. (Unless you suck sober, in which case the reverse is true.)
20. Finally, on a personal note... plz don't suck really really really bad but think you're good. It's really frustrating. It's ok to not be the best in the world, but be willing to admit your weaknesses. That's the only way to start working on improving them. I, for one, suck at kiting zombies on Gluth with my (alt) hunter. I freely admit it, and pass the role to a mage/rogue/shaman who doesn't suck at that particular task. That way we beat the boss, don't have five unnecessary wipes, and everybody stays in a much better mood.
